29. Yet Another Interlude: In Search of KatManDog

I recently played another game of Adventures in the Lost Lands from Two Hour Wargames.

The brave souls venturing into the dinosaur infested lands were my friend Patrick, his son John Michial and my son Evan (both of whom are 12).  We took three teams of hunters through the Lost Lands of Kellytopia (which really needs to stay lost) in search of the gateway to KatManDog.

They needed to find a "key," hidden in one of the sections of the table as previously rolled by me in secret, and kill a dinosaur, in order to be able to enter the gateway.

Here's how it all went down.  (Click on the pictures to enlarge them so you can read them.)

  1. Really nice miniatures and report. It is good that you let "kids" play with your toys! You can do with some more jungle I think.

  2. Looks like you all had a grand time . . . but I wonder how John Michial's father felt about his son trying to bushwhack him once they got home?

  3. @Furt: Thanks for the kind words. I actually do have more jungle, but I when I rolled up the terrain conditions prior to play, it came up as "clear/hilly." I decided it must be the uplands, and away from the stifling humidity of the swamplands.

@ Bluebear Jeff: Ha ha, you're right. The real question is, when they come back to continue the story, how will Patrick behave then? A sneak attack when John Michial walks through the door, or will all be forgiven?

  4. Cool beans! The comic format is lending itself to this game very well. Let's see how the mischief pans out i the next episode.
